Split Townhouse
This unusual project comprises two separate contracts for two clients, to convert and extend their properties which are stacked one on top of another.
The conversion of the town house included a complete strip-out, reconfiguring the house to create a new series of vertical spaces with a roof-top extension.
The one bedroom, basement flat was re-modelled to create an additional bedroom. In order to bring light into the spaces, the two bedrooms were wrapped around a lightwell to the rear while the living room addresses the area to the front of the building. The interior includes a collection of birch faced plywood joinery elements which help to define and support the spaces.
